About

I’m a seasoned digital marketing professional, with a track record of writing great content and delivering successful campaigns. Like many marketers, I actively blend the creative parts of my personality with my analytical and experimental sides.

My first position out of university was in government, where I wrote messaging and performed community relations with the B.C. Ministry of Transportation where I was part of a team handling communications for a multi-billion dollar project.

After that, I got an urge to wander and experience more of the world. During two years of traveling and living in Edinburgh, I worked in e-commerce, digital marketing, and SEO while pursuing my interests in history, whisky, and ghost stories. I met some amazing people who opened my eyes to the wider world and other ways of doing things.

Upon returning to Canada, I moved to Calgary and started at Scout Communications, where I was air traffic control for all things digital. I managed website projects, digital campaigns and supported our clients through our helpdesk. From there, I moved on to Challenger Geomatics where I managed marketing campaigns, rebuilt the website, and built out their CRM and audience segmentation.

In Calgary, I also met my wife and we recently had a son together. That changes your whole perspective. Family is now the priority and you strive to make them proud of you every single day. When you are work, you want that work to be fulfilling and have it be something that stirs the passion inside you. When you are at home, you want to be 100% present for the people who are most important in your life.
